Women's PSAC Individual Tennis Championships Resume Sunday
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Three rain delays interrupted the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Individual Championships held at West Chester University on Saturday. The rain held up for the majority of first round matchups in women's singles bracket. West Chester's Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) advanced to the second round, defeating East Stroudsburg's Amina Dickson eight zero in an eight-game pro set. Nicole Fahringer (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) of the Golden Rams fell in the first round to Edinboro University's Oranza Carrillo, while her teammate Claire Uhle (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) waits to face off against Lauren Zezenski of Clarion University. Shaak and Uhle will represent the Golden Rams in the doubles competition challenging Bloomsburg's Aida Diop and Caitlin Flynn. The PSAC Individual Championships will continue Sunday at 8 a.m. at West Chester University on South Campus.
