No. 7 West Chester Shuts Out Bloomsburg, 3-0
Bloomsburg, Pa. – Lexi Lentz (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) and Dana Hunt (Pittstown, N.J. / Delaware Valley Regional) both contributed a goal and an assist as No. 7 West Chester (8-0, 7-0 PSAC) remains unbeaten on the season, after shutting out Bloomsburg 3-0, Saturday night. Sophomore Kara Parvel (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) was able to find the back of the net in the 30th minute of the first half to give the Golden Rams the lead. Lentz headed the ball in for the second goal of the game, which was assisted by Hunt in the 53rd minute. Hunt tallied her second goal of the season with a header coming off of a corner kick from Lentz at the 62nd minute mark. Sophomore goalkeeper (8-0) Alex Srolis (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) made five saves in 87 minutes to the pick up the win for the Golden Rams. This was the fourth shutout of the season for Srolis, who has a .931 save percentage. Bloomsburg's Megan Deak recorded two saves, while giving up three goals in the full 90 minutes. The Golden Rams held a 14-7 advantage in shots over Bloomsburg. West Chester returns home on Tuesday, Sept. 30th for a match against East Stroudsburg University at 2:00 p.m.
