Musselman Leads Men’s Cross Country at Paul Short Run
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Zack Musselman (Collegeville, Pa. / Methacton) finished in 80th at 26:12, earning the second best time for a Golden Ram in over a decade at the 41st annual Paul Short Run held at Lehigh University Saturday morning.
West Chester University's men's cross country finished 33rd out of 40 teams with 850 points. The Golden Rams competed in the "Brown" race, which held 341 runners in the 8k event.
Jake Siegel (Falls, Pa. / Tunkhannock) claimed 102nd in 26:22, placing him third best in West Chester history at the event in the past decade. Sophomore Andrew Dombrowiecki (Ocean, N.J. / Ocean Twp.) took 10th best all-time in that span, capturing 199th in 27:16.
James Vadas (Stewartstown, Pa. / York Catholic) was the next Golden Ram at 275th in 28:08, while his teammate Bryson Long (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) finished right behind him at 290th in 28:22.
The next wave of Golden Rams to cross the finish line was Chris Bucci (Sewell, N.J. / Washington Twp.) at 311th in 29:09, Adam Farence (Enola, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) coming in at 30:12 for 330th, and Nick Angelina (Media, Pa. / Penncrest) crossed at 30:48 for 336th place.
Princeton University captured the title with 83 points.
Next week the Golden Rams travel to Slippery Rock, Pa. for the SRU Invitational on Saturday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m.
