Men’s Cross Country Finish Sixth at Mark Cooper Invitational
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - West Chester men's cross country placed sixth out of 11 teams with 147 points at the Mark Cooper Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock on Saturday morning. The Golden Rams were just shy of fifth place, only falling two points out while also being 11 points from fourth place.The Mark Cooper Invitational held 147 runners in the 8k event. Senior Zack Musselman (Collegeville, Pa. / Methacton) continues with another strong performance, placing 16th at 26:48. With that time, Musselman posted the best time on this course by a Golden Ram in the past decade. Finishing up with record times as well were Jake Siegel (Falls, Pa. / Tunkhannock) placing 26th in 27:10 for third best on the course, while his teammate James Vadas (Stewartstown, Pa. / York Catholic) registered the eighth best time for a Golden Ram in that ten year span with 27:51 for 41st. Sophomore Andrew Dombrowiecki (Ocean, N.J. / Ocean Twp.) claimed ninth on that list, running a 28:00 for 45th. The final two Golden Rams to cross the finish line were Bryson Long (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) at 29:09 in 69th and Adam Farence (Enola, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) taking 97th place in 30:42. Shippensburg captured the title with only 25 total points. West Chester will turn their attention to Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships held at Mansfield University on October 26th at 10 a.m.
