Sicinski Named PSAC Athlete of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) was named as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division player of the week for her performance in a pair of Golden Rams' victories this weekend at the Carol Eckman Memorial Tournament. This honor is the first for Sicinski in her three-year career at West Chester, while also being the first player on the women's squad to achieve the award this season. Sicinski opened up her 2014-15 campaign with 21 points and six assists in an impressive, 102-55, victory over Concordia College (N.Y.) Friday night. On the second day of the tournament, Sicinksi went on to tie a career high with 27 points as well as nine rebounds and seven assists as the Golden Rams held onto a 77-72 victory over University of the Sciences, Saturday afternoon. Overall, Sicinski posted 48 points for an average of 24 points per game this past weekend. In addition, she averaged six rebounds and six assists to go along with that 24 point average. Sicinski received a preseason-all conference nod after being named to the All-PSAC East first team last season while averaging 14.8 points per game. Sicinski dished out 102 assists from a season ago and placed fifth in the conference. West Chester (2-0) begins conference play against PSAC rival Millersville University on Wednesday, November 19 at 5:30 p.m. inside Hollinger Field House.
