Speller Shines as West Chester Wins First Conference Contest
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – R-Fr., G Porscha Speller (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) shined in her collegiate debut, propelling West Chester to an 89-69 victory over PSAC East rival Millersville, Wednesday night inside Hollinger Field House. This victory marks the first time since 1992 that West Chester (3-0, 1-0 PSAC East) defeated Millersville (2-1, 0-1) by a 20-point margin or better. A significant factor in the game was the play of Speller, who contributed 17 points, four assists and three steals for the Golden Rams off the bench. From behind the arc, West Chester shot 41.7 percent, compared to Millersville's 18.2 percent.
