Women’s Soccer Remains Unbeaten
Kutztown, Pa. – The Golden Rams continue their winning streak to remain unbeaten after defeating host Kutztown, 3-1, Tuesday afternoon. West Chester (5-0-0, 5-0-0 PSAC) jumped on the Golden Bears early as sophomore Nikki Zaso (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) managed to find the back of the net off of a rebound. Senior midfielder Erica Hansen (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) registered the second first-half goal at the 36:49 mark. Fellow senior Lexi Brown (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) found Hansen open, who then lofted the ball over the goalkeeper from 25 yards out. Kutztown (3-2-0, 2-2-0 PSAC) would answer in the second period with Maddie Mohr scoring off of a header in front of the goal. Mohr's second goal of the season cut the Golden Rams' lead down to one. The Golden Rams would take control with Brown curling the ball into the top left-hand corner of the goal. Brown's third point of the day secured the victory for West Chester.
