West Chester Falls to California (Pa.), 3-1
CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Golden Rams fell to host California (Pa.), 3-1, in a PSAC women's volleyball crossover match Saturday afternoon inside the Convocation Center. Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Rachel Robb (Blackwood, N.J./Paul VI) each contributed a team-high nine kills in the match, but it would not be enough. West Chester (10-3, 0-2 PSAC) dropped their second conference matchup of the season by scores of 10-25, 23-25, 25-23, and 18-25. Sophomore Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) accounted for 27 assists, while also providing 11 digs for the Golden Rams. Defensively, Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) led the squad with 25 digs as the team only accumulated a total of 69. The Golden Rams hit just .060 in the match. On the opposing side, the Vulcans compiled a .237 hitting percentage and managed 11 more digs in the match. The Golden Rams return home for a six-game home stand inside Hollinger Field House, beginning with Caldwell University on Thursday, September 29th at 7 p.m.
