Senior Alie Smith (Shippensburg, Pa. / Big Spring) was 64th with a time of 24:46, while freshman Tara McLaughlin (Lansdale, Pa. / North Penn) came in three seconds later to place 65th. Overall, coach Comstock stated that he was "very pleased with how well the women are progressing. You can sense the confidence growing within the team each week. We stayed very patient and conservative through the first mile and began to pick off large groups runners the rest of the race." West Chester is back in action next Saturday when they head to Bethlehem for the Paul Short Run.
