Sarah Krause Earns PSAC & ECAC DII Honors
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - West Chester University's senior goalkeeper Sarah Krause (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) received a pair of honors for her performance this past week, including PSAC athlete of the week in addition to ECAC Division II defensive player of the week. Krause was extraordinary, setting a Division II school record with 15 saves as the 10th-ranked West Chester University upset No. 2 East Stroudsburg, 3-1, in a PSAC matchup on Wednesday. Krause's performance broke her own school record of 13 saves, while also establishing a new career best with those 15 saves in the victory. On Saturday, Krause continued to impress with 10 saves despite falling to Indiana (Pa.) 3-2 in overtime. Overall, Krause totaled 25 saves in a pair of matches for the Golden Rams. This is Krause's first PSAC and ECAC Division II honor in 2016. West Chester returns to action today, October 4th as they travel to Shippensburg for a conference matchup at 4 p.m.
