Rain Delay Halts Play at the 2016 PSAC Individual Championships

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Senior Norman Patten (Warminster, Pa./Council Rock South) advanced to the semifinals in singles on the second day of the 2016 PSAC Individual Championships at the Burt Reese Tennis Center on Saturday.

Patten was able to get his match in before the rain, which ultimately delayed the rest of the tournament. A determination was made that the courts were not safe enough to play on.

West Chester's Norman advanced past Edinboro's Mateus Santos 6-4, 6-2 in the quarterfinal.

Norman and Lucas Von der Heyde (Exton, Pa./Great Valley) will continue doubles play tomorrow as well.

The third day of the 2016 PSAC Individual Championships resumes tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
