Bail Receives PSAC Athlete of the Week Honors
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - West Chester University freshman forward Jenny Bail (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) claimed Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference athlete of the week honors for her performance, which was announced by that organization Monday afternoon. Bail was extraordinary this week, accumulating four points and helping the Golden Rams win a pair of conference games to remain undefeated (13-0, 13-0 PSAC). On Tuesday, Bail registered the game-winning goal with 45 seconds left to lead No. 5 West Chester to victory. Bail's last minute heroics proved to be the difference as the Golden Rams topped No. 11 East Stroudsburg 1-0. Then on Saturday, the freshman setup a pair of teammates to tally two assists in a 2-1 win over Slippery Rock in overtime. First, Bail found senior captain Kara Parvel to knot the game up at one apiece with four seconds remaining in the contest. The freshman was not finished yet, connecting with teammate Julianne Minutillo who found the back of the net in overtime. This is the first time Bail has won the award in her young career. Bail's nomination is the third award this season that the Golden Rams have claimed.
