Women’s Volleyball Sinks East Stroudsburg, 3-2
East Stroudsburg, Pa. – West Chester was able to prevail in the fifth set, capturing the victory to win 3-2 over host East Stroudsburg in a PSAC match-up inside Koehler Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon. The Golden Rams (17-7, 5-6 PSAC) rallied to win the last pair of sets after dropping the third set in the match. West Chester defeated East Stroudsburg by the final score of 25-17, 21-25, 15-25, 25-21, and 19-17. Sophomore setter Jillian Grammer (Centre Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) provided 35 assists, 15 digs, and four kills in the victory for the Golden Rams. Leading the squad in kills this afternoon was Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley), producing 12 kills and 8 digs. Second on the team with nine kills was sophomore Allie Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle). Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) manufactured 21 digs for the Golden Rams as well. Chipping in 10 digs was senior Callie Krajcir (Breinigsville, Pa. / Parkland). West Chester returns home to Hollinger Fieldhouse on Friday, October 28th for a PSAC matchup with Slippery Rock at 7 p.m.
