Gulliksen Claims ECAC DII Rookie of the Week Honors

Danbury, Conn. - West Chester University's freshman back Maya Gulliksen (Piscataway, N.J. / Piscataway) earned ECAC Division II rookie of the week honors for the second time in 2016. The same organization announced the award Tuesday afternoon. Gulliksen helped West Chester capture a pair of PSAC victories by registering a goal and two assists for four points. The freshman tallied a goal and assist for three points in a 3-2 upset over fourth-ranked Millersville on Wednesday. Gulliksen found the back of the net in the 30th minute to obtain a 1-0 lead. Later on, she would setup teammate Marnie Kusakavitch to even the match at two apiece in the 57th minute. On Saturday, the back produced an assist to help the Golden Rams to a 4-0 victory over host Seton Hill. This is Gulliksen's second honor in her young career at West Chester University.
