Volleyball Falls to Gannon on the Road, 3-1
ERIE, Pa. – Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) registered 15 kills and 17 digs, but it would not be enough as West Chester fell 3-1 to host Gannon Saturday afternoon. Despite winning the first set 25-17, West Chester (18-10, 6-9 PSAC) would drop the next three to lose 3-1. The Golden Knights (24-3, 13-2) won by the final scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-15, and 25-16. So., Abbie Dischert (Wilmington, DE./ Concord) was second on the team behind Lutz in kills, posting 13 and a pair of blocks this afternoon. Emily Ahern (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) tallied 37 assists, eight digs, and two aces. West Chester's Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) led the squad with 21 digs, while her teammate Bethany Gould (Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) produced 13 digs for the Golden Rams. Lyndsey Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) chipped in 11 digs and three aces as well. West Chester posted a .175 hitting percentage, compared to Gannon who captured a .258 percentage. The Golden Rams will look to stop their three-game skid as they travel home to Hollinger Field House for a doubleheader with Cheyney and Holy Family on Tuesday, November 8th.
