Freshman Diana Dunn Earns All-Region Honors
NEW ORLEANS, La. -Fr., runner Diana Dunn (Media, Pa./Penncrest) captured All-Region honors for NCAA Division II Cross Country, which was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), following the weekend's NCAA regional championships meets. West Chester's Dunn registered a final time of 23 minutes and 20 seconds to claim the honor for the Golden Rams at the NCAA Division II Regional Championship on Saturday. The freshman captured seventh place, while maintaining a 6:16 pace in the 6k event. Dunn was the fastest freshman by 20 seconds and 58 seconds ahead of the third best freshman. She was the first individual non-qualifier for nationals. A total of 392 student-athletes (198 men and 194 women) from 136 schools earned the distinction by finishing among the top 25 individual finishers at one of the eight regional sites across the country. The NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships will be held November 19 in Saint Leo, Florida.
