Tim French Named First Team D2CCA All-Atlantic Region
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – West Chester junior defensemen Tim French (Bensalem, Pa. / Holy Ghost Prep) was named to the 2016 D2CCA All – Atlantic Region first team, which was announced by that same organization this morning. French played in and started 18 games for West Chester this season. The junior registered two goals on 12 shots, while chipping in an assist for a total of five points. Defensively, he helped West Chester limit opponents to 11.8 shots per contest and only 1.26 goals per game. This is French's second award this season, claiming PSAC all-league honors already for his performance in 2016. The defender played a crucial role in West Chester's ability to reach the PSAC semifinals and qualify for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002.
