Nadia Mulder Named PSAC Co-Athlete of the Week
Nadia Mulder (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) claimed PSAC Co-Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week honors after excelling this weekend at the TCNJ Diving Invitational. Mulder, a freshman, broke a school record with a 297.75 score off the 1-meter board on Saturday. The Hershey native broke four-time All-American Cynthia Hiester Richards' record that has stood for nearly 40 years. Richards was inducted into West Chester's Hall of Fame back in 2008 for her success. The freshman took home top honors in both the 11 and 6 dive 1-meter competitions. As a result, Mulder qualified for the NCAA's in both events. Mulder also scored a 493.5 in the 3-meter springboard competition to bring home a win for West Chester on the second day of the TCNJ meet Sunday afternoon. This was the first time in over a decade that West Chester has had a member be named PSAC Co-Athlete of the Week as a diver. Mulder will be back in action on Friday, December 9th as the Golden Rams take on Ursinus and Albright College at home inside Graham Natatorium.
