LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Chester's Georgia Wright (Doncaster, Pa.) earned PSAC Women's Swimmer of the Week honors for her efforts as the Golden Rams opened up 2017 on the right foot with a 157.5-103.5 win against host Johns Hopkins on January 7th. Wright grabbed a pair of West Chester's 10 first-place finishes in the victory. The freshman set a new pool record in the 1650-yard freestyle by clocking in a final time of 17:33.72. Wright broke the previous record by 3.40 seconds that had stood since 1991. Wright also registered the top spot in the 200-yard backstroke by capturing a time of 2:09.40. This marks the second honor Wright has received this season. Her previous award came from the College Swimming News in October.
