West Chester’s Wright Receives ECAC & PSAC Honors

DANBURY, Conn. – Fr., Georgia Wright (Doncaster, Pa.) continues to excel for the Golden Rams this season, adding the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Swimmer of the Week for Division II and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week award to her resume.

Wright took home the top spot in a pair of events including the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle against the University of Pennsylvania inside Graham Natatorium on Friday.

She first clocked a time of 5:03.65 in the 500-yard freestyle, while finishing with a 10:19.11 time in the 1,000-yard freestyle.

The freshman also claimed second in the 200-yard backstroke, achieving a time of 2:09.88. Lastly, she helped the 200-yard freestyle relay finish in second at 1:41.91.

This marks the fourth honor Wright has received this season. The other two being from College Swimming News and the PSAC.
