Valentine Named Gymnast of the Week by the ECAC

DANBURY, Conn. – Majesta Valentine's (Wilmington, Del.) performance at the Ken Anderson Invitational this weekend landed her third Gymnast of the Week honor of the season from the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) for Division II. Valentine competed against Division I opponents from Temple University and the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday. The senior captured a pair of first place finishes on the floor and in the all-around. She also tied for the top spot on the bars as well. On the floor exercise, she posted a 9.85 and helped the team earn a team score of 48.625. The Delaware native also won the all-around with a score of 39.075. Additionally, she registered a 9.775 on the bars that tied Daisy Todd's score from Temple University for first. She provided third on the vault (9.750) and tied for fifth on the beam (9.7), which was a new season-high. This was the third honor for Valentine and the sixth overall for the Golden Rams this season.
