Women’s Track & Field Flourishes at the KU Last Chance Qualifier
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – West Chester's Allison King (Lansdale, Pa. / North Penn) sprinted her way for a first place finish in the 200 meter with a time of 26.38 at the KU Last Chance Qualifier inside O'Pake Field House on Saturday. King shined, while several members of came away with top five finishes for the Golden Rams. Fr., Lexi Ryan (King of Prussia, Pa. / Upper Merion) became the last PSAC qualifier of the indoor season for West Chester. Ryan qualified in the 400-meter dash after registering a 1:01.72 to claim fourth in the event. In the one mile, sophomore Amanda Kodis (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) provided a third place finish (5:30.51) to her resume. Teammate, Jasmine Cisco added second in the 800 meter (2:26.63). Meanwhile, freshman Jasmine Noble (Chalfont, Pa. / Central Bucks South) produced fifth in the 55-meter day at 7.42. Fellow freshmen Tara McLaughlin (12:11.73) and Courtney Catlin (12:22.48) clocked in times that were good enough for fourth and sixth place respectfully in the 3,000 meter. So., Sammi Lowery (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) registered fourth in the pole vault with a jump of 10 feet, four inches. Next up for the Golden Rams is the PSAC indoor Championships, which will be held next Saturday inside Mike S. Zafirovski Dome in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
