Five Women Named USTFCCCA All-Region
NEW ORLEANS, LA - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced today that five members of West Chester's women's track and field squad received All-Region honorees for the 2016-17 NCAA Division II indoor track & field season. Claiming the honors for the Atlantic region were Diana Dunn (Media, Pa./Penncrest), Emily Dusellier (Harleysville, Pa. / Souderton), Sarah Kosenske (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley), Dara Lindsay (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East), and Laura Slavich (Havertown, Pa./Haverford). Dunn qualified in the distance medley relay (DMR), helping West Chester finish second at 12:19.30 in the 2017 PSAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend. The team consisted of Dunn, Dusellier, Allison Lewis and Slavich. Meanwhile, Dusellier qualified in a pair of events for the Golden Rams. She was in the 800 meters to go along with the distance medley relay. On Saturday, the 4x800m relay team came away with a PSAC crown with a time of 9 minutes, 24.80 seconds. Racing in the event were Dusellier, Slavich, Lewis, and Kate Woolam. Kosenske's qualified in the triple jump for West Chester. She was fourth in the event with a leap of 38 feet, 7¾ inches at the tournament. Lindsay and Slavich were the final two for the Golden Rams, both being in the distance medley relay. Lindsay was a part of the team that claimed third overall in the 4x400m relay on Sunday. Overall, there were 493 women who captured the honor from 120 different institutions.
