West Chester Faces Bloomsburg Tonight in Opening Round of PSAC Tournament
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – No. 4 West Chester takes on No. 5 Bloomsburg in the opening round of the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament this evening inside Hollinger Field House at 7 p.m. Tickets to today's first-round playoff game inside Hollinger Field House are: Adult - $10, Student age - $5, Free admission for students from member institutions with valid school ID. PSAC passes are accepted. The Golden Rams (10-16, 10-12 PSAC) split the season series against the Huskies (10-16, 9-13 PSAC). In the last matchup, Bloomsburg topped the Golden Rams by a final score of 81-68. The Golden Rams had closed it within a bucket with six minutes remaining in the game. However, the Huskies were able to close out the game on an 18-7 run to seal it. Two players who have come on strong for West Chester are senior Mariah Traywick and freshman Rylee Power. Last week, Traywick provided 26 points, 20 rebounds, three blocks, and a pair of steals. Power on the other hand added a career-high 25 points in a win over Millersville. She shot 62.5 percent from the floor (10-16), while also being the go to player in the second half by registering 15 of her 25 points when they needed it most. Overall, the Golden Rams' hold a two-game advantage in the all-time series record at 38-36.
