Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Academic Team Awards Announced
CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II National Academic Team Awards were announced yesterday as West Chester was amongst the 29 squads who earned recognition.
The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum team grade-point average of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.
West Chester finished with a 13-7 record this season, while being 8-2 in conference play. The squad made it to the semifinals in the PSAC Tournament.
Southern New Hampshire was recognized as posting the top team GPA in the first semester with a mark of 3.68. Also ranking in the top five in team GPA were Lindenwood (3.65), Slippery Rock (3.60), East Stroudsburg (3.59) and Limestone (3.53).
