Uhle Named PSAC Female Athlete of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Chester's Claire Uhle (Blue bell, Pa. / Wissahickon) received the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) female athlete of the week award for winning a pair of singles and doubles matches in the Sunshine State.

The senior played a significant part in helping West Chester win two of its first three matches of the spring down in Florida. Against Eckerd College, Uhle claimed victories in singles and doubles with partner Maddy Shaak. The duo opened the first match with a 9-7 win for the Golden Rams. Afterwards, she controlled both sets in the first singles match 6-2, 6-1.

Uhle played a critical part in West Chester's ability to prevail with a 5-4 win over Southeastern University as well. In doubles, Uhle and Shaak tallied an 8-4 victory and in singles she provided a 6-0, 6-2 win.
