LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Chester's senior Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon County) received her first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East player of the week award for her efforts last week. This marks the eighth consecutive time that a member of West Chester's women's squad has earned the award dating back to April 20th, 2015. Shaak played a pivotal role in West Chester winning a pair of matches this week against Philadelphia and Kutztown University. She won all four of the matches she competed in for the Golden Rams. On Tuesday, Claire Uhle alongside Shaak registered an 8-0 sweep in their doubles match. Shaak claimed a singles match as well, defeating Emily Zygmunt 6-0, 6-0. This past weekend, the duo of Uhle and Shaak provided an 8-1 victory in doubles against Kutztown. Additionally, the senior won her singles match against Taylor Capoferri, 6-1, 6-1.
