Pyle Receives ECAC’s Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
DANBURY, Conn. - Sr., Ashley Pyle (Springfield, Pa./Garnet Valley) propelled West Chester to three straight conference victories this week and received the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for Division II in the process. The senior finished the week with 20 points with wins over Bloomsburg, Gannon, and Slippery Rock. She tallied 11 goals in addition to nine assists for the Golden Rams. To begin the week, Pyle registered four goals as well as four assists to lift the Golden Rams past visiting Bloomsburg 18-11. Afterwards, Pyle put together four goals and five assists to down host Gannon, 21-6, on Friday. The following day, she tallied a hat-trick to prevail past host Slippery Rock, 10-8. Pyle scored an unassisted goal with 22:09 left that sparked a 9-2 run to close out the game and complete the come-from-behind victory. This is Pyle's first honor of the season.
