Shaak Garners PSAC East Tennis Player of the Week Honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Sr., Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) provided a perfect 4-0 record with a pair of wins in doubles and singles to help her secure Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Tennis Player of the Week honors. This marks the second time this spring that Shaak has received the award. Shaak was one of the reasons why West Chester swept both Shippensburg and Holy Family, 9-0. In PSAC action, Shaak teamed up with teammate Claire Uhle to register an 8-0 win at first doubles. Uhle and Shaak are ranked fourth regionally as a doubles team. Afterwards, she swept her opponent from Shippensburg in singles 6-0, 6-0. Against Holy Family in non-league play on Saturday, Shaak tallied two more win to finish the week with a perfect 4-0 record. Alongside, Uhle the duo prevailed in doubles once again 8-0 in the first doubles. She also registered a win in singles 6-2, 6-1. Lastly, the team as a whole was slated seventh in the Atlantic Regional Rankings this past week.
