DiJiosia Claims Fourth for West Chester at the Mondschein Multi’s
KUTZTOWN, Pa. - So., Caroline DiJiosia (Plymouth Meeting, Pa. / Plymouth-Whitemarsh) earned fourth-place for West Chester in the women's heptathlon at the Mondschein Multi's inside Andre Reed Stadium this afternoon. DiJosia accumulated 4,036 points over the course of the two-day event. The sophomore improved 13 spots in addition to 1,125 points from last year's meet. During the heptathlon, she won the 200m by clocking in a time of 27.08 seconds. The Plymouth Meeting product also registered tied for second in the long jump (16 feet, 7.25 inches) and fifth in the 800m (2:35.98). Meanwhile, senior Sarah Garner (Whitehall, Pa. / Whitehall) posted 11th with 3,771 points. Garner showed improvement as well since last year's Mondshein Multi's, increasing her total by 88 points. She posted a second-place finish in the shot put (31 feet, 0.5 inches) while tallying fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.45). Fr., Danielle Sterner (Hanover, Pa. / New Oxford) came away 18th at 3,108 for the Golden Rams. West Chester returns to action tomorrow morning at the Chester Quarry Meet in Chester, Pennsylvania.
