Houck’s Effort Results in PSAC East Softball Pitcher of the Week Award
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Jr., left-hander Amanda Houck (21-2) (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) threw 22 scoreless innings for the Golden Rams to earn her fourth Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Softball Pitcher of the Week award this season. Houck tallied three wins for West Chester, registering victories over Bowie State, Kutztown, and Holy Family. The junior hurled 22 scoreless innings, while registering a 17-2 strikeout to walk ratio. Against PSAC rival Kutztown, Houck provided West Chester with nine innings inside the circle as the team prevailed in extras 2-0. Houck has now won four PSAC awards, a pair from the ECAC, and one from the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Pitcher of the Week.
