Cipolla Earns PSAC East Pitcher of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Jr., RHP Mike Cipolla (4-2) (Newark, De / Charter School of Wilmington) pitched a gem on Sunday, resulting in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division's Pitcher of the Week honors.

The junior tossed a complete-game shutout against Bloomsburg. Cipolla only allowed one hit over the course of seven innings. He also contributed a pair of strikeouts in the 4-0 victory.

So far this season, the right-hander has registered a 4-2 record with a team-best 1.08 earn run average over 41.2 innings of play. He has contributed a 26-8 strikeout to walk radio as well. Opponents are only batting .189 against the Delaware native.

This is the first award for Cipolla this season and second for West Chester with the other going to teammate Jon Fisher.
