McLaughlin & Kosenske Earn ECAC DII Honors

DANBURY, Conn. – West Chester's Sarah Kosenske (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) and Caroline McLaughlin (Pottstown, Pa./Pope John Paul II) received Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) DII honors for their performance this weekend at the Chester Quarry Meet. McLaughlin's record breaking performance on Saturday landed her Track Athlete of the Week. Her contribution on the women's 4x100-meter relay team set a new school record with a time of 47.17, which was only .17 off of a NCAA provisional standard. The junior was not done yet, breaking her own school record in the 400m hurdles with a first-place finish of 61.43. Meanwhile, fellow junior Sarah Kosenske won the triple and long jump to be recognized as Field Athlete of the Week. She posted a leap of 17 feet, 6 inches in the long jump, while registering a 38 feet, 2.75 inches in the triple jump. This is the sixth award that the Golden Rams have claimed this season. Both Kosenske and McLaughlin have earned two apiece, while Amanda Kodis and Emily Magnant have won one.
