Picket & Norman Pickup ECAC DII Honors
DANBURY, Conn. – Juniors' DeShaun Pickett (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Justus Norman (Lancaster, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) brought West Chester's men's track and field squad a pair of Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) DII honors for their performance this weekend at the Chester Quarry Meet. Pickett raced his way to a pair of first-place finishes inside Leslie C. Quick, Jr. Stadium to claim Track Athlete of the Week. He provided the top spot in both the 100m (10.85) and 200m (21.80). Earning Field Athlete of the Week was fellow junior Justus Norman. The Lancaster native was slated first in the long jump by tallying a score of 22 feet, 10.5 inches and was runner-up in the triple jump at 45 feet, 6.25 inches. This is West Chester's fifth honor of the spring from the ECAC. This is the second honor for Pickett, while others receiving recognition were D'Andrew Gursay, Justus Norman, and Chris Mallee.
