Long Named PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - R-So. QB A.J. Long was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) offensive player of the week, which was announced by that same organization this morning. Long threw for two touchdowns and rushed for a pair of touchdowns in his first start of the season to lead West Chester to a 35-14 victory over Lock Haven on the road. He was responsible for four of the team's five touchdowns on the afternoon. He rushed 15 times for 181 yards and two touchdowns while also going 12-for-26 for 198 yards and a pair of TDs. Long's performance was the first honor of the season for the Golden Rams. West Chester returns to action on Saturday as they host the Kutztown Golden Bears inside John A. Farrell Stadium at noon.
