West Chester Announces Preparations for 2017 Homecoming Weekend

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University officials released its standard preparations for Saturday's Homecoming football game versus PSAC East opponent East Stroudsburg. Kickoff is set for 2:06 p.m. at John A. Farrell Stadium. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and expect delays. West Chester is hosting women's rugby, women's soccer, and men's soccer on Saturday as well. The Golden Rams take on the University of Virginia on the rugby pitch at 11:00 a.m. Meanwhile, men's soccer faces Seton Hill at noon and women's soccer to follow against IUP (Pa.) at 2:30 p.m. at Rockwell Field. All lots located on South Campus are pay lots. All fans, regardless of event they are attending, will have to pay $5 to park. Fans travelling to the game are encouraged to arrive early and expect delays. Car-pooling is also very strongly encouraged. Tickets are $12 reserved seating and $10 general admission. Senior Citizens are $7. Group rates are also available. Parking in stadium lots is $5. However, space is limited. Tailgating is permitted in Lot Q South only. That is the lot south of Farrell Stadium. Alcohol is NOT permitted in the tailgate area. Fans are encouraged to go online and avoid the long lines at the gates on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased by clicking HERE. Then, simply, print out your tickets at home, or show your online ticket on your mobile device at the gate. Fans can also call the ticket office and order their tickets in advance. Phone orders will be left at the Will Call Window. This should help alleviate long lines at the ticket windows on the day of the game. West Chester University students can purchase tickets for friends and family during the week at the SSI Window in Sykes Student Union Center, or by calling the WCU Ticket Office at (610) 436-2266. WCU BAG-CHECK POLICY West Chester University has a bag-check policy in place at all its major events, including home football contests. The policy requires anyone with a bag to open the bag and allow it to be searched prior to entering the stadium or large event venue. Should the bag carrier not want their bag searched they will not be permitted to enter the stadium or venue with it. A clear bag would be acceptable as we can view contents.
